Gjerfloen Flyfishing, Norway. Updated information bout fishing conditions on the fly fishing zone, water level and water temperature in the Trysil river.

Nytt isfiskekonsept. Mormyskafiske med attraktor. Blinken er laget av plast og er vektløs i vann. Forsiktig fisk kan dermed dra avgårde med kroken uten å merke motstand. Blinken festes til snøret med duppstoppere og kan flyttes opp og ned på snøret etter behov.

During the 2022 season 325 fishing licenses were sold (2021: 189) and 1865 fishes were reported on Gjerfloen Flyfishing (2021: 1626). This season we had no corona restrictions, and fishermen from 11 nations were visiting Gjerfloen Flyfishing. Exept July, we had good fishing condition most of the time

October was like September, rain, high water and strong wind from the north. 40 day licenses were sold on the fly zone in September. Fishing conditions were difficult most of the time and mainly smaller fish were caught. The month ended with 219 reported catches. Average 5,5 fishes per fishermen/day.

September was like July and August, rain and high water, but a bit better than the two previous months. 49 day licenses were sold on the fly zone in September. Fishing conditions were tricky most of the time and mainly smaller fish were caught. The month ended with 304 reported catches. Average 6,2 fishes per fishermen/day.

28.09. Water flow up to 164 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are slowly improving. Very little rain ispredicted the next days. It means that the water flow will be down to the level we had in the beginning of the month. We had some good catch reports at that time.

26.09. Water flow down to 173 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are not good, but slowly improving.

23.09. Rain yesterday brought the water flow up to 298 m3/s last night, but is down again to 289 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are very difficult.

22.09. Rain yesterday and last night brought the water flow up to 162 m3/s this morning. We shall have more rain today, so the water flow might be up to more than 200 m3/s before it culminates during the night. Fishing conditions are not good.

21.09. Water flow down to 126 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are improving. The weather forecast says more rain to day and romorrow. The fishing conditions might therefore be tricky this week end.

So far in September, 232 catches are reported . It is obvious that September will be the best fishing month this summer.

31.08. Water flow down to 162 m3/s this morning, Fishing conditions are still difficult. The big lakes high up in the river system are filled up with water and therefore the flow decline is slower than normal.

30.08. Water flow down to 171 m3/s this morning, Fishing conditions are still difficult.

29.08. Water flow up to 181 m3/s this morning, but is now on the way down again, Fishing conditions are difficult. With the weatherforecast we have at the momrent, I think we are back to normal flow in about 10 to 14 days.

28.08. Rain yesterday brought the water flow up to 180 m3/s this morning, Fishing conditions are not good at the moment. According to the weather forecast we shall have just a little rain the next days. I think the flow will be down to aprox 140 m3/s at the week end. Normal flow for the time being is 70 m3/s.

The month started with high water, but we had very little rain and the flow wre down the whole month and ended under normal at the end of the month. 71 daylicenses were sold on the fly zone in June. Fishing conditions were most of the time good. The catches were up and down and ended with 263 reported catches. Average 3,7 fishes per fisherman/day
