The fishing conditions the first three months were never really good, but nevertheless,
June and August were "All Times High". While July was the best month last year with
more than 1000 catches, it seems to be quite the oposite this year. August last
year was a disaster, while the August figures this year are very high. It was mainly
the first week and the last weekend which "did it".
In September we had good fishing conditions most of the time and this month was
also "All Times High" concerning the number of fishermen and catches. Also this
month dryfly turned out to be the best. Fishing conditions in October were good
most of the time, but the fishing was not always easy.
Total catches 2006 were 2710. this year we have 3352, an increace of 24% compared
with last year. Average catch fisherman/day 2007 is 6,3. Last year the cpd was 7,0.

are quite good.
28th of August
Water temp 14 C degrees. The water flow this morning up to 68 m3/s. This rise in the

predicted the comming days indicate that we shall have good fishing conditions the
days ahead.
July
31st of July
Water temp 14 C degrees. Water flow up to 70 m3/s today. Only little rain yesterday
and the water level will start to go down again today.
30th of July
Water temp 14 C degrees. Water flow was up again to 69 m3/s today. Czech nymphing
between 8 and 11 before noon today gave me 20 graylings, all sizes, biggest 40 and
43 cms. Green and olive with some flash was the best choice today. Fishing in the
afternoon between 7 and 9 gave very little.
29th of July
Water temp 14 C degrees this morning. Two days of rain have not influenced the water level
very much and the water flow was down again to 64 m3/s this morning. Fishing with
Jean Francois Albert between 8 and 10 before noon gave 10 graylings up to 40 cms.

Water temp 15 C degrees and wate rflow down to 65 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions
are very good! If you don't catch fish now, you need the guide!
26th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees and water flow down to 67 m3/s this morning. Best fishing
proposal: Czech nymphing before noon and dry fly after noon. Fishing conditions are
very good!
25th of July
Water temp 15 C degrees and water flow down to 69 m3/s this morning. Best fishing
proposal: Czech nymphing before noon and dryfly after noon.
24th of July
Water temp 15 C degrees. The water flow down to 70 m3/s, the lowest water level so
far this year. Most of the river is now wadeable and fishing condiitions are the
best till now this summer!
23rd of July
Water temp 15 C degrees. The water flow down to 73 m3/s, the lowest level so far this
year and fishing condiitions are beginning to be really good! Erwin v. d. Veen (Holland)
landed a 46 cms grayling on a big sedge today.
22nd of July
Water temp 14 C degrees. The water flow down to 78 m3/s. Today we had good fishing
again for the first time this month I will say. Johan Klingberg (Sweden) landed
27 fishes today, 3 graylings and 1 brown trout were +40 cms. Biggest grayling 46
cms! Before noon different methods worked. Between 13.30 and 14.30 Johan had success
with a Black Gnat size 18. See the "Photo gallery" page.
21st of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. The wate rflow down again to 81 m3/s. Finally the weather
prognoses indicates that we shall have more normal weather and the waterflow will
go down to a normal level. Warmer weather will also activate the insects. This means
good fishing conditions!
20th of July
Water temp 15 C degrees. The water flow down again to 86 m3/s. I hooked 10 "czech
nymph" graylings during a couple of hours in the middle of the day. Most of them
preferred a rainbow coloured nymph with a blueish shining back.
19th of July
Water temp 14 C degrees. The water flow culminated last night and was this morning
92 m3/s. During a short fishing session before noon I hooked two "czech nynph" graylings
between 35 and 40 cms so fishing is possible.
18th of July
Rain showers the last two days. Water temp 16 C degrees. Water flow up again to 89
m3/s this morning. The water is clare and fishing is absolutely possible, but now
I really would like to have more sun and lower water!!
16th of July
Nice weather today brought the water temp up to 17 C degrees. Water flow up again
to 83 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are still OK, but I would liked to have
lower water now. All season the water has been a bit higher than normal and the
fish is widely spread and food suply is also very good under these conditions.
15th of July
Water temp 15,5 C degrees. Water flow 80 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are
OK. Before noon I landed 5 czech nymph graylings up to 40 cms during a short time.
After noon a Norwegian group had nice dry fly fishing on the upper part of the fly zone
(See the photo gallery page).
13th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. Water flow 86 m3/s this morning. Fishing conditions are OK.
The water level is still a bit higher than normal for this time of the year, but
the water is clare and the fishing conditions are OK. The weather forecast says
warmer weather and less rain the comming days.
11th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. Water flow 92 m3/s this morning. Nymph fishing before noon
was OK, but dry fly fishing gave nothing...
9th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. Water flow down to 78 m3/s this morning. The water flow is
the lowest so far this summer, and it is beginning to be wadable on most places,
but the fishing is not so good at the moment. I guess that more sunshine and higher
air pressure would make it better.
8th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. Water flow down to 79 m3/s this morning. The fishing this
week end has been not so good. Either dry flies or nymphs worked very well, however,
czech nymphing on Saturday gave some fishes. A short period of rising activity in
the middle of the night.
5th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees. Wate rflow up to 85 m3/s this morning. Yesterday we had rain
most of the day and the flow went up a little again. The water is clare and fishing
conditions are quite good. Today we have had only a few small showers and the flow
will decrease again after noon.
4th of July
Water temp 16 C degrees and waterflow 81 m3/s. Rain showers made the fishing rather
unpleasant for the fishermen, but some graylings rose for the Klinkhammer also today,
even czech nymphing gave some contacts.
2nd of July
Water temp 16 C degrees and water flow 86 m3/s. The fishing was OK and dry fly was
the best also today. The water flow now is the lowest so far this summer and the
fishing conditions are beginning to be really good as the river now is more wadeable
on wider areas.
June
30th of June
Water temp 16,5 C degrees and water flow 93 m3/s. The fishing was OK and dry fly was
the best. There are still a few Danicas on the water. Fishing conditions are quite
good.
29th of June
Water temp 16 C degrees and water flow 96 m3/s. Fishing the two previous days has
not been so good. The fly zone was full booked today and the fishermen had a bit mixed
experiences. However, team Corrado (6 persons), Italy, did very well and landed
more than 100 graylings during the day, all sozes up to 43 cms. Nearly all was caught
on dryfies size 10 and 12. A few Danicas were still observed hatching.
26th of June
Water temp 15 C degrees and water flow 107 m3/s. Czech nymphing before noon worked
quite well. The afternoon and evening fishing was not so good. Rain showers yesterday
brought the water flow a little bit up, but nicer weather is predicted and the water
will go down again. I guess we shall have quite good fishing the rest of this week.
25th of June
Water temp 15 C degrees and water flow 103 m3/s. There are still a few Danica observed,
but the "blow" is over and from now on the sedges will be more and more common on
the water. I think Klinkhammer, E-12 and ants will be a good choice the rest of
this week.
24th of June
Water temp 14 C degrees and water flow up to 102 m3/s. Two rainy days brought the
water flow up again and today the fishing has not been so good. The weather forecast
says warmer weather and no more rain the next days so I think the graylings will
"wake up" again very soon.
22nd of June
Water temp 16 C degrees and water flow 95 m3/s. Lars Viberg (Denmark) landed 14 "dryfly"
graylings during one and a half hours in the middle of the day. Fishing conditions
are good.
21st of June
Water temp 15 C degrees and water flow 93 m3/s. Fishing conditions are good.
19th of June
Water temp 17 C degrees and water flow 98 m3/s. The Danaica goes on hatching, but
there are also a lot of others on the water now. From 22.30 the sedges also are
active. The fishing at the moment is very good.
17th of June
The First Danicas appeared here on Friday 15th Water temp 14 C degrees and water flow
105 m3/s. The change in the weather was good for the fishing. Team Isaksson (6 persons),
Sweden, landed 75 graylings up to 46 cms this week end. Please see the photo gallery
page.
14th of June
Cold weather and rain today brought the temperature down to more normal level, 15
C degrees, water flow 104 m3/s.
11th of June
Water temp: 18 C degrees, water flow 107 m3/s. Fishing conditions are beginning to
be good. Colder weather from now on will bring the water temperature down to a normal
level again.
9th of June
Water temp: 18 C degrees, water flow 116 m3/s. 9 fishermen from 4 different nations
on the fly zone today. See pictures on the photo gallery page. The graylings are rising
and the best times for fishing are before noon and evening. The Sulphurea (Gul forsslända)
appeared today. In less than a week now we shall also see the E. Danica here!
8th of June
Water temp: 17 C degrees, water flow 125 m3/s. Today different insects were hatching
on the flyzone area and the graylings were rising regularly. It seemed they were
"picking" something just under the surface. The Sulphurea and the Danica are not
obsrved here yet, but the Sulphurea (gul forsslända) might appear any day now.
5th of June
Water temp: 15 C degrees, water flow slowly down. Things are going fast now. The heat
has generated hatching of insects that we normally see later. According to rumours
the E. Vulgata has been observed hatching in the slow streaming parts of the river,
two weeks earlier than normal.
4th of June
Water temp: 13 C degrees, water flow stable, 150 m3/s. Yesterday 4 Austrian flyfishermen
caught 11 graylings, 3 of them were +40 cms and some just under 40 cms. Superpuppa
(yellow body) worked best for them. The fish started to rise around noon. Today
Lars Lövgren and Jan Djärf (Sweden) caught 18 graylings. The biggest ones were hooked
on a big version of Leon Wulf.
May
28th of May
The first mayflies (Marginata) is hatching now and rising graylings are observed!
Water temp 9 C degrees and water level a bit lower than normal. Flyfishing season
is finally here.
18th of May
Water flow 170 m3/s this morning. Water temp 7 C degrees. The water level is at the
moment aprox. 60 cms under normal for this time of the year. Most of the snow is
melted and the water is already quite clare and I therefore expect an early flyfishing
start this season. If we get some warm weather I think we shall see the first Mayflies
(marginata) in the air and on the water in just a few days! The graylings are hungry
now after a long winter and they will react immediately - the first rings on the
water!
2.710 fishes based on cath reports from the fishermen 2006 dispersed in lenght groups.
